Post-Conference Trip

Saturday 6th September

Join the Historical Metallurgy Society trip to the Newport Transporter Bridge and Blaenavon World Heritage site.

We will travel by coach from Cardiff to the Newport Transporter Bridge to see the new Visitor Centre and view conservation engineering works in progress over coffee, tea and refreshments. We’ll then travel to the Blaenavon World Heritage Site for a tour led by a retired metallurgist familiar with the site and its association with Sidney Gilchrist Thomas.
